Floral shorts

Top: Old, similar || Shorts: ASOS || Heels: Qupid (love these) || Clutch:Gigi New York || Sunglasses: Forever 21 (super similar and really cute!)

How fun are these shorts? Ahem. I mean culottes. I don't think I've worn a pair of these since…oh, probably sometime during second grade. But I just couldn't resist this fun floral print. And I don't hate how incredibly comfy they are. I wore them to work the other day and -- minus the whole being at work thing -- totally felt like I was lounging around in my PJs. I'd say that's a weekday win, wouldn't you?

Tuesday Temptations: Kitten heel

Tuesday Temptations: Kitten heels

I am undoubtedly a stiletto girl. Probably because when you're under 5 feet you need a little boost to become eye level with the rest of the world. But this fall, I've been noticing the resurgence of kitten and mid-heel shoes. And as much as I love my sky high pumps, it's nice to be a little kinder to my feet. Especially now that I'm a momma!

It was actually this pair by Nine West that really got me excited to see this trend coming back. They're incredibly comfortable but still super chic. I was a little hesitant because the lower heel can sometimes give off old lady vibes, but I think the key is to make sure they have some additional detailing. Right now -- and with almost all of the pairs above -- its 's the ankle strap. It gives the lower heel a more modern, edgy look that I absolutely love. The d'orsay style (like #2) is another way to make this style appropriate for 2014. They also look amazing with boyfriend jeans and anything distressed, which I can promise you I'll be living in this fall!

Crop it

Top: Topshop || Skirt: ASOS (similar here, shop more below) || Heels: Zara (love these!) || Purse: Forever 21 (also comes in black!) || Necklace:ASOS || Sunglasses: Forever 21 (obsessed with these)

Welp, I finally did it. I bought a crop top. I decided -- inconveniently -- that I was on board with the trend when I was about 8 months pregnant. Not the most ideal time. But now that I'm 3 months post-baby, I was finally ready to actually wear one. This one from Topshop is perfect because the fit is spot on for my shape -- which is key to making the look work. The length is just right and since I opted for a looser-fitting piece, it balanced out the rest of the outfit. I loved pairing it with a high waisted faux leather pencil skirt, but it would also look great with low rise shorts or jeans that allow a little sliver of skin to show.

Also, I just really feel like black and white needs a major shoutout. It's so classic and you just can never go wrong with this combo. I'm almost 100% positive it's all I'll be wearing this fall.
